everything out of the box speaks quality . from the bison leather roll to the knives. material is top notch. one of the sheaths is a bit snug. reach out to customer service and they responded quickly with a solution. and YES they are sharp! Love the MKC success story and glad I can support USA made companies and get myself a nice set of blades. Now i need to get myself the cleaver also lol

Bought these for my wife because she does the cheffing. She loves them so much she no longer uses the $1k chefs knives we already have. She says the MKC knives feel better in the hand, provides more control. She also says these knives feel more balanced than her high-end blades and edge stays sharper longer. Now she only uses the MKC knives. Now I have to figure out what to do with the old knives that are just taking up space in the kitchen.

I had originally bought only the santoku knife and loved it so much that I had to buy the whole set which is a plus since it comes with a very nice leather carrying case for the knives. I gave my best friend my original culinary knife that I had purchased as a gift after I received the set and even they are firm believers in MKC knives now too!
